After the events of Ergo Atlas, GODS faces VOID, an ancient intelligence that sees annihilation as the only escape from suffering. What follows is a conflict between two opposing visions: whether existence, with all its pain, is still worth preserving.
In the final chapter of the saga begun with The Far Star, The Complex Permutation explores sacrifice, faith, free will and hope as GODS is pushed beyond the boundaries of matter, space and time in search of a new beginning.
